Forty-two years after the sudden death of Bruce Lee, he is still remembered as THE most famous martial artist of all time. What was so special about him in particular? Well, not only did he define an entire genre and inspire a global fascination with kung fu and other martial arts, but this incredible man was likely the closest thing this generation has ever come to a real-life superhero. Bruce Lee was unstoppable.



Sadly, the world mourned when Lee passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 32. A freak accident involving painkillers caused a brain aneurysm in 1973 (although there are conspirators who suspect SOMETHING MORE SINISTER)

Lee was born in San Francisco, but he was raised in Hong Kong and trained under kung fu grandmaster, Yip Man. As a teen, though, he was sent back to the states after getting into a fight with a guy who had ties to the Chinese mob.
